WAVE is a registered non-profit organization with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). All donations made in Australia are tax-deductible. In Pakistan, our services are delivered through the Shahnaz & Bashir Malik Educational Trust.
Our story
Shahnaz & Bashir Malik Educational Trust was established in 2017, seeded by an initial donation of Rs 7 million from Bashir Malik, who migrated to Australia in 1979. Bashir and his late wife, Shahnaz Malik, dreamed of sharing their blessings with underprivileged communities back home in Pakistan.
To build on this vision, Bashir Malik went on to register a charity in Australia WAVE. Every donation over $5 made to WAVE in Australia is tax deductible.
Today, WAVE works closely with local NGOs and respected social workers on the ground. We’ve only just taken our first steps, and there is still a long way to go.

We believe in empowering underprivileged communities to build brighter, self-sufficient futures. By relying on the passion of our volunteers and keeping administration costs low, we ensure that the maximum benefit of every donation reaches the people who need it most.
Our Mission
is to provide quality educational facilities for girls in underprivileged areas, and to stand beside communities facing natural disasters with timely relief and support. We are committed to delivering clean, safe drinking water to remote and drought-affected regions, and we extend our assistance to everyone without judgement of nationality, race, or belief.
